Since 2019, adults (over the age of 18 years) who were conceived through sperm donation after January 1, 2001, can request to have access to the identity of their donor. The procedure was established by the Federal Office of Civil Status in Bern, which can be found at FOCS Bern (in French).

Those who choose to obtain this information may wish to meet with the donor. This crucial moment may raise questions and evoke strong emotions for the child, the parents, family and/or the donor. It must be noted that the latter has the right to refuse such an encounter. At each step of this process, we are ready to assist you in your reflections.
