A cutting-edge laboratory

The reproductive biology laboratory is specialised and licensed for medically assisted procreation treatments and the cryopreservation of spermatozoa and oocytes. The laboratory is the only one in French-speaking Switzerland to use the newest generation incubator Embryoscope and the first to implement the preimplantatory genetic diagnosis (PGD) procedure.

A centre of reference

For many years now, the commitment of the CPMA team has made it a reference centre in Switzerland and abroad. Doctors and biologists actively participate in numerous committees of scientific and medical societies, for instance: the National commission of ethics, the Swiss society for reproductive medicine, the Federal commission for human genetic analysis, and the Swiss society of gynaecology and obstetrics.

Medical consultations in gynaecology and urology, examination rooms, operating rooms, IVF and andrology laboratories, psychological support and traditional Chinese medicine are all gathered in one location to optimise the provision of care.

Coverage of costs by health insurance (LAMal)

There is no need to have a private insurance to come to the CPMA. Investigations and the majority of non-IVF (in vitro fertilisation) treatments are reimbursed by the basic medical insurance (LAMal).

Easy access

The CPMA is located in the centre of Lausanne, in the Flon area, close to a large car park, public transport and the SBB-CFF railway station.
